Steve Strong is the founder and owner of Strong Construction, a premier custom home and remodeling company based in Vancouver, Washington. Since establishing the business in 1980, Steve has built a reputation for master craftsmanship, a value that continues to guide every project under his leadership.
With over four decades of experience in the construction industry, Steve specializes in high-end custom homes and large-scale remodels that blend timeless design with expert execution. His meticulous attention to detail, hands-on approach, and unwavering commitment to quality have earned him the trust of clients across generations.
Strong Construction’s longstanding success is rooted in customer loyalty and word-of-mouth referrals—a testament to Steve’s integrity, professionalism, and the enduring value of his work. Many of his clients return for multiple projects, confident in the personalized service and craftsmanship they’ve come to expect.
Outside of his work with Strong Construction, Steve is an active and dedicated member of the Columbia River Yacht Club, where he has earned numerous accolades including Vice Commodore, Member of the Year and served as Head of Entertainment. He also plays a key role in maintaining and enhancing the club’s grounds, overseeing all landscaping and exterior improvements to help preserve the beauty and function of the property for members and guests alike. His leadership and pride in craftsmanship extend beyond the job site and into his community.

What is Master Craftsmanship?
We believe remodeling should be an exciting and enjoyable experience as you witness the often dramatic enhancements to your home. Our goal is to always exceed your expectations with outstanding workmanship, quality material, and attention to detail. When we practice “Master Craftsmanship,” it means that we will do everything possible to make sure you are absolutely delighted with our work.
We also encourage our clients to partake in as much (or as little) in the creative process as they wish. You can choose to work with our own designers or one of your own choosing - whatever it takes to create the exact look and feel you’re wanting. Once the plan is on paper, watch us bring it to life.
We are dedicated to neat, fast, hassle-free projects. Although remodeling is sometimes unavoidably messy, you can trust our employees to treat your family, belongings, and home with care and respect.
The highly skilled carpenters we employ are hired based on talent, experience, honesty, and integrity. We use only specialty subcontractors (electricians, plumbers, etc) who have demonstrated genuine skill and knowledge, and we guarantee their work.
